Full Moon in Libra: A Ritual for Relationship Healing and Connection
A full moon over a city scape on a blue night.
Quick note, I usually share these intro details in my newsletter but I will be keeping the extra aspects and ritual to members only. So feel free to jump to the next section after the galaxy photo if you read the newsletter.
Okay, so this Full Moon is taking place at 26 degrees on the axis of Aries and Libra. This is approaching the final degrees of both of these signs and thus helps us to close out some of the lessons we're exploring in these houses. More than this, like every full moon, this one too closes out a 6-month cycle related to the houses that hold both of these signs. The theme of the Aries & Libra axis is that of independence and interdependence— connection and solitude. The Libra New Moon was on October 6th in 2021 and at that point, we had Mars and Venus in very interesting positions totally different from where they are now.
For a six-month cycle that began in October 2021, at the time, the New Moon in Libra was also exactly conjoined to Mars who was exiled. So at that time, while not in rulership of the lunation, many of us were beginning to explore lessons related to finding balance within relationships, learning to give and take, being willing to make sacrifices to keep the peace— while also weighing out where in our lives we may have been doing this too much.
And now that we are at the Libra Full Moon we have an opportunity to close out some of these lessons. In this chart, however, we do have Mars in Pisces. While folks often speak of Mars as struggling in water signs, Mars has, at this degree, triplicity dignity in this chart so we come equipped to close out these lessons with a sharpened blade and a sturdy shield. This time we come prepared. In terms of Venus' role, back in October, she too was exiled. While she was within her own decan, we weren't able to access as many of the soothing balms we desperately needed. Now, however, Venus comes ready to move forward, ready to slip into a pool of all the healing feels, ready to soak off the hurt in a CBD infused bath.

Additional Realm Only Details
With this lunation, we also have the Sun separating from a sextile to Saturn (and the moon a trine). Saturn is going to begin feeling different now that he is all alone in his domicile. With this, there will be less of a blended effect, of multiple planets and instead, we’ll just have that feeling of walls going up, of a structure being formed slowly but surely, brick by brick. The effect on this lunation is going to be about thinking about the longevity of the relationships you’re involved with. Who in your circle is willing to see you through your changes and as you evolve, not just when it suits them? Who is willing to love you tenderly when your foundation shakes and you need more support?
Aside from Saturn’s influence, there is another aspect we may feel leading up to and away from the full moon. While it is not directly touching the Sun nor the moon, it will be an influence that clouds the effects of the full moon. Jupiter and Neptune are almost exactly conjoined in this chart and the build-up/fall away will be very slow. While I know some astrologers on TikTok are talking about this as being a hugely beneficial event and a potent time for manifestation, instead, I consider this event to be a bit shaky to our sturdy ground. Depending on how this touches your personal chart, you may find that this conjunction lends a general fog to your days. You may feel like the hours speed on by, with time becoming an intangible thing. Drives might feel like portals, where the car and your body is on the road but your heart is in the ethers.

The Ritual
SUPPLIES
A pliable and relatively thin branch you gathered with permission from outside. You’ll want to have only one branch and remove any small sub-branches.
Red thread AND
Thread in colors related to things you’d like to call in:
Yellow - kindness and friendship
Red - passion and excitement
Purple - intuitive and spiritual connection
White - healing
Pink - love
blue - calm and peace
(Optional) little charms you can string on the thread that are related to what you’d like to call in
(Optional) A heart-healing or relationship-themed oil
The Steps
Begin, as we usually do by connecting to your body and taking a few moments to touch base with your breath. Take a few deep breaths slowly, until you feel in touch with your inner magic.
From there, I want you to begin cleansing your supplies, your space, and yourself.
Once you’re ready, I want you to take a container of water that will fit your branch. If you do not have a container this size, it’s all right, you’ll just approach it a different way. When you have the container, add a little bit of water, a sprinkle of salt, and say a few affirmations or a word of prayer over the water. You can also add a little bit of light energy to the water. Once you’re done, you’ll add your branch to the water and let it soak for about 10 minutes. If you don’t have a container, you’ll run the branch under running water for about ten minutes, and say some affirmations or a brayer while you do this.
From here, you’ll grab your oil if you choose to, and you’ll add some to your palms. Focus on on all of the love and healing you want to call into your relationships.
Slowly begin to shape the branch into a circle. This will take time, and in reality, you won’t be able to do it all at once. This ritual will require dedicated time and space until the new moon (only a few minutes each day).
A few branches against a light blue sky.
After the full moon and on
Each day, from the full moon to the new moon, take a few moments each day, add some of your oil to your hands (if you chose to use it) and work the branch into a circle. While you do this, focus on all you wish to release and all you wish to invite in into your relationships.
When your branch is able to be shaped into a circle, take your red thread, and wrap it around the ends of the branch to connect them into a circle.
Once it’s secure, you can also add other thread colors and add charms if you chose to get some.
Finally, add a little more oil and hang this somewhere where you’d like to invite in more love and peace (if you live with those you’re in relationship with) or near your altar (if you don’t).
